Troy and Gallipoli are feature attractions in this region.  I've relegated Pergamon (modern Bergama) to secondary status here, in part because there are several other Hellenistic and Classical sites of interest further south, and also because I think either Assos or one of the villages in the Kazdagi range (Mt. Ida) would make a wonderful base for three-plus days of exploring to Troy and Gallipoli.  I'd be happy to include Pergamon and/or Sardis in our itinerary.
