There are many supplementary materials available on the HIS 120 web-site.  This small exercise is designed both to help to familiarize you with the structure of the web-site and to introduce you to some of these supplementary materials.  You are welcome to include commentary upon any of these resources as Journal entries throughout the semester.

To complete this exercise, do the following:

1)  A large number of news articles about World History are archived at History In The News.  Go to that page, do some browsing, and find at least two interesting news articles.  Come to class ready to briefly introduce these stories to a few of your classmates.

2)  A collection of video documentaries about World History is available at Video Links and at NIC and VIPL Video Links.  Go to that page, do some browsing, and find at least two documentaries that you would like to sample this term.  Make a note of your selections.

3)  A collection of audio documentaries about World History is available at Audio Links.  Go to that page, do some browsing, and listen to at least 10 minutes of any documentary that seems interesting to you.
